Rob Footitt

Rob Footitt - Podiatrist Oxfordshire

Rob qualified as a Podiatrist from Southampton University. He gained his MSc from Manchester Metropolitan University in the Science of Sports Injuries.

He works in the NHS and the private sector and specialises in Musculoskeletal Podiatry. He has also worked as a Clinical Specialist Podiatrist in Orthopaedic Triage Clinics.

As well as gait analysis and orthoses prescription Rob has been developing his range of treatments to include foot, ankle and soft tissue mobilisation. In conjunction with muscle strengthening and exercise prescription these forms of treatment can be very effective in complementing the use of orthoses to address foot function and injury problems.

He has an interest in treating sports related foot and lower limb problems and believes that anyone with lower limb injuries would benefit from a strengthening and rehabilitation program not just elite athletes.

He has a sports back ground in rugby and coaching rugby, nowadays this is usually watching from the sideline although he still enjoys the occasional touch rugby competition. Long distance walking is his other interest. He has walked the West Highland Way and trekked in Nepal. One day he would like to do the Camino de Santiago.
