Reflexology is a non-intrusive, holistic therapy which can be used alongside conventional medical care. The treatment aims to help promote and maintain the body’s own natural healthy balance.  It has its origins in Ancient Egypt, China and India; and emerged in the West until the early 20th Century.

Bowen Fascial Release at Clinic on the Green

Reflexology is a microsystem treatment, which means that by working on one part of the body, the whole body can be supported.   It uses hands-on pressure to stimulate specific reflex points in the feet or hands, which correspond to different parts of the body.  By stimulating these points on the feet and hands, the whole body, including all it’s organs and systems, can be treated.

Reflexology can be used to help provide relief from a wide range of conditions. The treatment includes an initial consultation on your first visit.  You are then required to remove socks and shoes, before lying back on a treatment couch, while the therapist applies gentle pressure on your feet. Clients usually find the treatment extremely relaxing and report improved feelings of well-being, reduced feelings of stress, and improved mood and sleep.  The treatment lasts approximately 50 minutes.

Rachel also specialises in Hot Stone Reflexology at Clinic on the Green.
