Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)

What are Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)

Emotional Freedom Techniques, known for short as EFT or tapping, was developed as a blend of Western psychology and Eastern traditional medicine. In the 1970s psychologists and practitioners started to include acupressure points with talking therapy, and refined the process to include all of the energy meridians in Chinese medicine in a short ‘tapping’ sequence.

Tapping on acupressure points clears blockages or stuck energy in the body that correspond to unprocessed thoughts and feelings. As feelings and sensations shift, underlying thoughts or beliefs may emerge from the subconscious, giving us clues about the root of the difficulty. EFT enables you to gain greater self-understanding, to let go of beliefs which hold you back, and transform negative thoughts into positive.

EFT balances the energy systems in the body, while simultaneously focusing on the thoughts, sensations and emotions of the client in the present moment. Addressing the physical, mental, emotional and energetic layers of a person is the secret behind EFT. It helps you find clarity and peace of mind for your health and wellbeing.

Recommended sessions

The number of sessions is determined by you, and can be discussed at your first appointment.

While EFT can clear a particular issue in one session, you may find that the root of a particular belief or feeling requires a number of sessions to fully access and clear. Between 4-8 sessions is average, and will depend on the particular issue you are seeking assistance with.
